Explanation of Revelation 21:3-4
Revelation 21:3-4 gives a beautiful picture of the hope God has promised to His people. John sees a vision of the new heaven and new earth, where God dwells with His people forever.
The verse begins with the wonderful announcement that God’s dwelling is with people. This shows the closeness and fullness of fellowship that believers will one day enjoy with Him. God will not be distant from His people. He will dwell with them, and they will belong fully to Him.
This passage also contains one of the most comforting promises in Scripture: God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Every sorrow, grief, loss, and pain will be removed by the loving hand of God.
